David Kurmann
(born 1982, Swiss, independent)
David Kurmann holds a Master of Arts in Strategy and International Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and has completed executive education at IMD Lausanne and INSEAD.
David Kurmann serves as Deputy Managing Director and Head Portfolio Operations at EGS Beteiligungen AG (EGSB), being responsible for commercial due diligences, value-creation planning, and active portfolio management.
He also covers different Board Membership roles in several EGSB portfolio companies:
- Deputy President of the Board of Directors of SERTO Group AG,
- Deputy President of the Board of Directors of B+G Schweiz AG,
- Member of the boards of Argus Data Insights AG, DV Bern AG, and Futurae Technologies AG.
In these positions he has led and supported operational transformation, M&A, and integration projects within portfolio companies.
From 2013 to 2014 Mr. Kurmann worked as a consultant at Bain & Company Switzerland, Inc. focusing on strategy, operational improvement, and private equity transactions.
From 2011 to 2013 he served as Head of Marketing, Sales & Business Development at Koubachi AG Switzerland, an ETH spin-off/start-up active in the field of Internet of Things.
Previously, he also worked as a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Switzerland.
